Usthad CMM Gurukkal, the visionary behind SDK Health Complex, was keenly interested in Kalari, Kerala's traditional martial art form, and Marma Shastra. This interest led him to obtain knowledge from over fifty Gurus in every nook and corner of our homeland, and he then initiated and established this venture. His deep knowledge has cured countless lives and helped him earn recognition in the field of Ayurveda. Usthad Gurukkal also established Choorakody Kalari Sangham as a martial arts centre, apart from a treatment centre. It attracted enthusiasts from all over the world, eager to learn Kerala's rich martial tradition. Dr. Saheer Ali, Son of the Founder, now deeply undertakes his father's legacy, ensuring that SDK Complex remains a light of healing and tradition in the community.

As the Managing Director and Chief Physician of Shafi Dawa Khana, he has deep roots in the Ayurvedic tradition and, with his decades of professional experience, continues the legacy of his respected father, CMM Gurukkal.
